just create a yahoo 360 then do a google: yahoo avatar, then after that create an avatar, then after that you come back here and go to your preferences then you will see were you can use your avatar aka cartoon picture :D

Click on your name, and you should go to your "My Q&A" page. There, you will see a link called "Edit my info". Click on that, and you will be on the "Edit my Profile" page.
One of the options there is for picture. There are three radio buttons, one of which is "Use my Yahoo! avatar". Select that, then click on the "Edit my Yahoo! avatar" link to create the cartoon picture you want.

Click on your pic box on the left of the screen and click on edit, you will see from there ,, easier that 360.
