You get this error message because of two reasons,

1.) Either the copy of Windows XP installed in your system would be a pirated copy with an installation key that is not one that is offered by Microsoft Corporation.

2.) You could have not registered your copy of Windows with Microsoft Corporation.

Do register your copy and pay the money for it after which you will not get this error message...

It means that the software installed in your computer is pirated. Microsoft softwares are licensed product and microsoft internet server will find out whether your one is genuine or not. If you want a genuine software, you can get it at their authorize shops.

Where did you get your Windows software from? If someone else already used the code that is in your computer, then Microsoft thinks that you are " a victim of software piracy". Where did you get SP2, and why do you think you need it? If you have other security software then don't worry about it.
