you can be married by anyone who is liscensed to be an officiant. look up in your local yellow pages, ask some wedding photographers. you can choose what kind of wedding you want. we picked our officiant out of the phone book, talked to her for a while first, wrote our own ceremony and vows. good luck!

Yes. A judge can marry you in the courthouse or a place you arrange ahead of time. Today many couples choose to write and say their own vows to one another, so you can choose the content, and make it truly yours. There are also non-denominational ministers: at The Church of Antioch (Captain of the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA) and the Unitarian Church. There are also many wedding chapels. Much depends upon what you want (indoors or outdoors), big or small, and of course your financial resources. Best wishes and I hope you and your financee have a happy life together.

I used to attend a nondenominational church - try that. You could also get married by the justice of the peace. For an extra buck you could have it outside, instead of in the court room.

My wife and I were married by the mayor of our town. She is religious and I am not, so we came to this conclusion to please us both. It was a nice ceremony and also a good story to tell when people ask where we were married. All you have to do is contact city hall and ask if your mayor does weddings.

A judge.
I'm in the same boat, and my uncle (a judge) is my officiant.
