I'm glad one person out there is serious about my question. Yes, I have read Venus and Adonis. Beautiful poetry.
I do love the plays, though. I have acted in several and found Shakespeare's charactors to be full of life and gusto.

Angel Like,
I enjoyed your answer. Are you taling about the movie "Romeo and Juliet" with Claire Danes. I have seen that one but there are others I prefer. Zeffarelli's 1968 version was beautiful. Have you seen any of Kenneth Branaugh's films.
You may answer by e-mail if you want.

Donald have you read Venus and Adonis by shakespeare? What did you think of it? Shakespeare is the best thing that has ever happened to human beings...

If i could wish anyone back from the dead it would be shakespeare....so he could write me a line or two....!!!

AAAAnyway...i'm not much into plays, but I've seen Baz Luhrmans Romeo and Juliet and also the Merchant of Venice with Al Pacino in it and thought these films were cool

I'll take a stab at it but am more inclined toward film. I'm very appreciative of Henry IV which was rumored not to be written by Shakespeare at all, but a vey great work nonetheless. Ironic in that the historic personages are quite unlike this play. Ball's in your court.

listen, I took my monkey to make certain The Lion King at the same time as it became in Chicago and he loved it! He became leaping everywhere or maybe tried to sing a number of the songs because I had offered him the video some Christmas' in the past. We did ought to leave early even with the undeniable fact that because he were given so excited he all started mountaineering up and bothering human beings in the field seats.

I like Shakespeare but I have a hard time getting too far into it. I love Broadway. I'm going to see Wicked in a couple weeks in Portland, OR. Have you seen it? I'm reading the book now. I mostly do musicals, I love to sing, but I love watching all the different shows at our local theatre.

My favorite of Shakespeare is Much Ado About Nothing. My cousin got to see the Royal Shakespeare Company's year-long Shakespeare festival in England's rendition of the play...and all the others...I envy him.

I absolutely love Tom Stoppard, he's brilliant. My favorite of his is Arcadia, and I actually got to see it once, absolutely loved it =).

Unfortunately, I'm in college, so I don't get to see theater very often, but I wish I could.

Sure. Let's talk about how Shakespeare was merely a producer of plays and that Christopher Wren (not Shakespeare) wrote his most brilliant plays.
