why is everyone so judgemental on here-and convinced that their way is the right way?

everyone is entilted to their own opinion-but why cant some people accept that not everyone agrees with them and just because that is their opinion does not mean they are right, everyone can get there point across on here, but to come on here and call people all sorts of names, to people that are looking for advice just cause thats what you(you know who you all are) think, is so small minded of you all esp from people that have no idea what they are talking about

Yes you are right.A lot of older people on here have a lot of life experience though.Name calling is just childish,ignore the idiots.

I have noticed the same and at first it was a turn off. I started on the hobby questions, for I know a great deal about coins. I then went to religion and politics and was some what disappointed due to all the negativity. Religion has always fascinated me. I guess it is a way to get it off their chest, but in reality it does not answer the question most of the time. I have a great knowledge of things only because I have a good memory, but I am getting older and have my senior moments. I got nailed by a couple of people for a wrong statement, but both parties were gentlemen about it and I apologized for my mistake. I will continue to answer question for now until it becomes a hate thing, then you can color me gone. One last thing, there are some real nice people out there and I am glad we can kind of chat from time to time.

You can always leave the forum, dear. And really, some people ask some of the most inane questions, such as: What baby names do you like? How should I wear my hair? What time is it? Etc. You are right that many have NO CLUE what they are talking about and give advice far beyond their expertise - if they have any, that is. That is why I would not take this forum too seriously or come here with anything too important.

Everyone is not convinced that their advice is the right advice but someone has asked for help and you can only give your own opinion in the hope that it might help. If lots of people give the same solution/opinion then perhaps it may be the right way to go.

Guess it depends on what your personal experience has been.
When I answer questions on marriage and divorce, I speak from much study, and grevious experience. That personal experience may make me relate more intimately with men and women both who find themselves in unhappy and unhealthy realtionships--and often I can get, although I am objective most of the time--that can get me riled up and wanting to shake the COMMON SENSE BACK INTO SOME OF THE FOLKS ASKING THE QUESTIONS!!!!
But, as for me, I do not call people names.
EVERYone has a story.
EVERYone has a different way to tell it.

Maybe the answer is to demand from the moderators (assuming that there are such) that people who persistently diss others and are not providing actual helpful answers are simply blocked from the forums.

This should cut both ways, however and people who persistently ask the same questions or simply make inane comments poorly disguised as questions should also get blocked out.

If these forums are to do what their stated intention is we shouldn't have to wade through paragraphs of nonsense or insult to find enlightenment, education or answers to serious predicaments.

Lets be honest here,some questions asked in here are asked to make others angry or to hurt feelings. I don't care for some of these questions because there are young people in here that don't need to be exposed to that type of questions.Also,there are few in here that ask questions that are just plain ridiculous and others share that opinion with me. I answer most of the questions that I know the answer to, because it's simply, a question I can answer. Being 53 years of age does give me an edge on others.

TELL ME ABOUT IT...if a may be quite "BLUNT"....QUITE A FEW WACK JOBS ON HERE. They obviously are not here for the true purpose the site was designed for but rather to humiliate others and degrade them rather offer truly desired insight into real life issues. Hopefully they will find a site that is desinged just for them to bash others and get bashed back.

now ,a lot of what you said made sense, except you should have left the word everyone ,out. some people are only here to pass time and to play a game, but i have read from quite a few that are trying to help people. no where does it state that the people giving answers are professionals, so hopefully those in desperate need who are having lousy answers are aware of that.

hi , it takes all sorts of people to answer some of these question. i know it can hurt to read some of the responses, but you can't take them personal, OK. i was feeling the same way at first too. but if you continue to be on the site you will get used to it, some people feed off other problem and it is sad but that's how this site is. i can't say to be understanding it may not work for you, just don't take it personal. good luck.

its just the way it is people come here for many reasons some to be helpfull some not sometimes a question will hit a nerve and people cant help themselves
just ignore the non helpfull answers its all i can suggest because i cant see it changing any time soon
