I have never heard of this before. I doubt if very much. If you want to attend a college or university in the United States, you have to pay tuition and fees like everyone else.

You may want to make an appointment with a financial aid officer to see if you qualify for financial aid or scholarships.

Sorry, friend. No free ride here.

If it were true, colleges and universities would be full of students with green cards!

I had a Green Card when I applied to colleges. It's not free, but you also don't have to pay as much as foreigners. You have the same privileges as a U.S. citizen, and you can get in-state tuition (for the state you reside in) or scholarships or financial aid.

I went to a top private university, but paid almost nothing, because my parents are immigrants and didn't have much money. You can take out loans or you can get grants from the U.S. government or the school. Good luck!

Education is not free. Someone pays. Either you or the government. Having a green card does not give you this option. As most students come to realize, to finance your eduacation you need to go to a bank or other intitution that will give you a student loan. Pay it off in a few years and Voila you have your education and someday you will look back and say that was money well spent .

No, she will't get a eco-friendly Card. she will learn interior the U.S. with a pupil visa, the F-a million, if she will locate the money for the severe classes for a worldwide pupil. If she's drawn to that, she needs to prepare at colleges she is drawn to as a worldwide pupil. If regular, the faculty will subject her an I-20 type. With that type in hand she would be waiting to might desire to prepare for the pupil visa on the U.S. consulate in Ciudad Juarez.

No, a green card only gets you permission to be in the country. You still have to pay your way like everyone else.

You can apply for different scholarships and try that way. I don't think having green card has anything to do with it.

Yes and no. You are not eligible for government financial aid. However, you can have a scholarship and that can cover some, if not all, your school expenses. But you have to earn the scholarship.
