Maybe you love him because you were meant to be together. Wouldn't it be a perfect to story to tell your grandchildren, that you were best friends since you were kids!

there are different typesof "love' are you sure you aren't confussing loving him now as love you feel for him now, rather then being "in love' with him as really being loving him as a friend... The guy I am dating right now and I have been friends for years, but its a bad situation (he is seperated from his wife and has been honest about possibly getting back together with her) I know I love him and care VERY much for him, but I am not "in love" with him, thou with an ex boyfriend I know I was in love with him... same emotion but differnet feelings... its okay to "love" him you know especially if he is your best friend, that is the best type I think, and often means the most
