I have heard so many different opinons on how long it will take to get pregnant. I also had to have LEEP done two years ago and am wondering if that will hinder my fertility at all.

That's because every woman's experience is different. There's a small chance of getting pregnant even while you're ON the pill, so obviously it's possible to get pregnant right after coming off it. Many women will take at least a few months to several months for it to happen.

Both LEEP and the pill can decrease your cervix's ability to produce fertile mucous. The damage caused by the pill typically reverses itself within a few months. I know several women who have had LEEP and have had no problem getting pregnant later; my doctor told me it would depend largely on how much of the cervix they had to excise versus how long your cervix was to begin with (I didn't end up having to have it, though.)

What type of birth control were you on? Different types take a different amount of time. Pills, patch, and ring, usually take about 3 cycles for things to get back to normal but depo can take much much longer.
