He did 400 jumps on concrete and suddenly got a sharp pain in his head -- he did 100 more and then had a headache. He woke up in the middle of the night with a worse headache, and he STILL has a headache today...

What kind of head / brain trauma could he have caused, and is this serious enough to go see a doctor?? (serious answers only from people with medical background or personal experience with this - thx)

Sounds like you need a trip to the ER. Not sure what kind of trauma may have occurred. It can range from a ruptured vessel or releasing a blood clot into his brain. Of course there is the other side of the spectrum and it could be totally negative. If its the worst headache of his life, then get in the car and go to your nearest Emergency Room. Don't give him any Aspirin.

This would be an unlikely result of any cerebral injury. You should consider the physical stress to the body first. If he is not generally a very active person, this strain would indicate more than he was able to handle. Not just physically but involving the circulatory system. The first thing I would want to check would be an aneurism. Need to have that ruled out.. So would recommend a trip to the ER asap.

I would think his brain bounced around a little too much. Kind of like headbanging at a Korn concert. But that usually causes dizziness. Seriously, If his head still hurts the next day I would go to the doctor. You can't put off serious injuries like spinal or brain. Hope he feels better soon!
