Depends on which level of government you mean?? Possibly contact the office of the governor of your state. They probably have employees whose job it is to take care of things like this.

Write to the Mayor of your city, or Councilman, etc. Drop a line to your state officials, or your State Senators, in Washington, D.C..
Many will be happy to write that letter, if you send them all the details.
They are there after all to serve us. On something like your request, they will be delighted to help.

Lots of good advice here... another site you might want to check out is the one for Education...
I liked the suggestion that you contact your state government, too.

Write to your local TD or Counsellor or what ever local politicians you have in your locality....they will (if they want your votes!), arrange for a letter to be sent from them and also if you request from a person of higher standing,

I'd also ask the Principal to write to someone, like the Mayor of your city/municipality.

Usually if you write - email- or call the office and give them enough time they gladly do things like that.

The key word here is TIME>>they need enough lead time....
