I ask this because of all the great things humanity is capable of, (flight, reason, curing diseases), we can't seem to figure out that we're all in this together. And while we are capapable of great things, we still have extremely destructive behavior not just to oursellves, but the planet as a whole. So we have it within ourselves to save ourselves, but instead we carry on with this behavior not thinking we'll reap the consequences.
EX: Humans can drive. Yet they get sloshed and get behind the wheel.

Actually the humans had to adapt to catch up with and surpass the animal kingdom. It took eons to do it; but now humans truly have the heads up on 99.99% of the animals, but not 100%.

Yes we are: we have no sense of satisfaction, spend our lives looking for things that we cant have go to war with countries that have more oil than us etc etc etc
I dont think any human being in this world can live without material things: we worship our possessions and worry about losing what we have
While other animals are TRULY free ... free to fly around, free to roam about, free to run like the wind...how i envy them!!
But look at the bright side: At least we dont get eaten by hungry crocodiles...

Yes. We are killing ourselves as a species, some of us actually know it, yet continue to do it.
Water shortages, starving people, greed. To survive as a whole, we are pretty stupid.
Individually, we may be the most technologically advanced.....BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN WE ARE THE SMARTEST.
I think it's pretty clear that other species will outlive us. Dinosaurs are still live today....we call them birds.
So, when someone is so egotistically inclined to say that "we" are the smartest species. Flip them the bird while pointing to one....because we will have all killed ourselves long before those species do.

No we are not...actually, its the exact opposite. You cannot compare humanity to those of animals - as a species you must realize that we are the least adapted to survival in the wild, and therefor must constantly change to survive amongst the elements and ourselves. You also have to consider that we are pretty much the only ones able to threaten each other and yet have to share space in pretty much all the same spaces...some of us are smarter than others and readily see and act on the benefits of taking advantage...balance must constantly be restored, because our abilities are constantly shifting against each other for security.

odd...sheep have figured out they are all in it together, yet have to have their tails cut off because they poop on them (seriously. they are born with long tails, and that is why we cut them). so no, dumb is a relative term. depressing may be another word to consider, as in " i find the general state of humanity depressing to consider". surely you've heard that every action can be explained by selfish reasons? those who would act only for the benefit of others would not survive long.

Without question YES!
Humans wrongly assume they are more intelligent than any other species on the planet, often they use the example of livestock and that if they were intelligent they would not allow us to raise and harvest them as they do.
Buy this same example humans are therefore proven less intelligent, as livestock does not intentionally build the fences and slaughter-houses which results in their demise. Where as humans actively, willingly contribute to their unnatural demise by supporting artifical and evil things known as institutions which include governments and corperations and are "believed" to be benifical but are truly destructive, at least to natural creations' manfestations but, not these correctly termed 'alien entities'(exteraterrestrial beings are not alien(s), other than by the illusion of human perception, true alien(s) are enities not of this universe's creation).
Which brings me to the greatest evidence of human stupidity; "BELIEF"! Belief being "the acceptance of truth/reality things which lack logical and/or factual proof to support them". This is as dumb as dumb can get , and it is used as the basis of their so-called law, understanding of truth and more! Though it is beyond the ability of most humans to comprehend(due to methodical and systematic brainwashing by these alien entities[education]) that "belief" is the ONLY way in which one can be decieved. And this entire species is being cultivated(humans call it culture) and harvested(not for their flesh) by aliens.
There was once books written for human benift to expose these true to life and covertly occupying monsters which could rescue them from their demise. Unfortunately they surrendered them to the very demons that feed upon them(by means of traitorous humans assimilated into mutants by an oath of loyalty [that impose as "authority" still]) . Subsiquently, these monsters rewrote it into a device that causes humans to compete to be first in line at their own slaughter-house. Please note that these aliens don't desire human flesh, they want something much more precious; human souls, an eternal source of pure, perfect energy(that humans only stupily believe exists).
Other factors that contribute to human demise(or damnation) is egotism and greed. Notice that those who acheive these things are considered "successful". I could go on and on but this should suffice.
Man are humans dumb! (pun intended)

although we arent the dumbest we are the 3rd smartest with dolphins being the smartest they are with it and are so smart they let themselves be captured so they could play all day and be fed food they even knew of the impending destruction of earth years before it happened. they know the point of life and because of that they are content to play with divers in a attempt to avoid the meaning
