I have tried doing these 2 things only once and it helped me.get a water bottle, and fill it with hot water, then put it on your stomach or where ever you feel the pain. It helps if the water is very hot, but if its too hot have a light t shirt on and the bottle on top. I have only tried this once and it helped me, however i had to keep it on my stomach for a long time. I hope it helps you as well. I also take Tylenol for cramps. It seems to help me. At night i took 2 Tylenol since that is the recommended dose for people over 12 plus 1 Advil. you can take them together because they have different ingredients.

Try walking I know that this is not what you want to hear but it will help the muscles contract and also sometimes you may have a large clot trying to come out so that could cause cramps. I know every time I walk I feel much better, sitting still kills me. Also don't eat alot of salt or caffeine it is terrible during menstrual time.

Take an hour, curl up in a chair, cover up with a blanket and nap. or go lay down. If the cramps are really bad, and you are tense because they are uncomfortable, go relax. they will ease up.

Okay this is going to sound strange but if you masterbate it will probably help. When you have an orgasm the muscles in that area contract and relax. You should feel better after you do it....seriously!

chamomille tea helps soothe the cramps on me at least. I would also try putting a heating pad on ur stomach and laying on your side with ur legs pulled up towards ur stomach.. it makes it less acute...

My mom always makes me drink a glass of red wine... it does help.
Also, you can try Alleve (naproxen sodium) instead of ibuprofen... it works better for me.
