...the question...WHY do they even answer them???
This baffles the living crap out of me. Do they just want to offer up an answer that shows their immaturity because they can't get away with that in real life? What exactly is so important about those two points, that gives people the ability to be SO rude? Does anybody else feel this way???

Sometimes the question is misread and the person responding feels that a humorous response would have been better than something they cut and pasted off of wikipedia. (they can be wrong as has been proven)
I'm humorous in real life, but I do not cut others down....either in person or online. It is pointless.
Now answering just for points? Yeah the 'yes', 'no' or 'idk' answers really does not serve any purpose.
It is the ones that just offer up rude f*** you type of responses that get me. The one that hurt the most was the guy who typed "who cares you b*tch" to a girl asking how she should cope with her recent miscarriage. That is the type of guy who has some issues.

I know exactly what you mean...answers like "get a life" and "2 points" does not get anyone best answer..I usually don't mind when I get a rude answer but when I go and look at their pofile and see that they are only on level one it means two things...they've just been suspended OR they are new and think all questions and answers should be about serious issues......not the case!!!! I say..keep rude comments to yourselves and let's just have fun!!!

Yes, it is baffling. I read a lot of questions, but don't answer all of them and I don't like to be rude. The points just make it a competition.

Sweetheart you are gonna encounter all kinds out here , don't let it get you down . You and I both know the majority of these people would not have the heart or the guts to say half of these comments in person . Just learn to wear this forum as a loose garment , and you will be okay . I understand your frustration believe me I do . PEACE

Probably because it's an easy way to get points. But if a question makes me mad to the point where I will say something negative I'd rather just skip over it and not answer at all.

Where some folks like to hear themselves talk in this case these same folks are lonely and there fore will say anything just to make it sound like they have some idea of nothing.. For instance,
Do I get the 2 points for answering this question for you?.
Ha, Haa....

I do feel the same way. Maybe they are jealous of you. These are people that are nasty in real life, but they don't have the courage to say what they want.

You shouldn't let them get to you. Those people don't have a life.

the quick thanks for the two points allows them to advance at a quicker pace than to sit down and try to answer the question to the best of their ability..

i give short answer for Q's that require short answers like do you like candy, etc

i give a more detailed answer if it is needed

dont let it bug you,k? peace

Its a sickness, they feel better about their own miserable lives by trying to make others feel bad.
