Hi

Don't worry about it at all - sounds like she's doing exactly what 6 month olds do.

We're advised to not start weaning until 6 months now and even then it's only a little bit of tasting of purees - not for nutritional value as it's been mentioned before.

My youngest is 10 months and I have met tens of mums on the internet with babies the same age and they're all at different stages of weaning.

He wolfs everything down now but at 6 1/2 months he was only on baby rice and then working towards the odd try of fruit purree.

Don't worry at all. Her main source of nutrition at this point should be breastmilk or formula -- solids are just for fun, practice, and exposure to a variety of textures and tastes.

My older daughter loved solids from the beginning and would eat quite a bit of baby food if we let her. (We only offered one meal per day until she was about 9 months old.)

My younger daughter never liked baby food and would only eat table food. Even then, she rarely took more than a few bites at a time. I used to joke that she ate more carpet fuzz, old Cheerios, and other junk off the floor than she ever ate at the table - LOL! We just kept offering a variety of healthy foods without pressuring her to eat them, and her interest increased around a year of age.

My daughters are now 3 years old and 21 months, and they're both very good eaters of a wide variety of foods. (My 21-month-old also still breastfeeds 4-8 times per day.)

I would just keep offering tastes of things once or twice a day, and follow her lead. She'll eat more when she's ready.

No-don't worry! I worried so much that I made an appointment with a feeding center to evaluate my 7 1/2 month old daughter and the day before her appointment (at just about 8 months), she started eating baby food. Let her develop in her own time and check out your concerns with your doctor.

My daughter refused to eat baby food untill she was 8 months old. The pediatrician said not to worry about her too much and also suggested that she might just be one of those kids who absolutely won't eat anything but table food. She suggested that we buy a blender and adjust table food for her that way. Wouldn't you know it? The very day we bought the blender she FINALLY started to eat the baby food.

My daughter was never interested in baby food. My doctor said that babies don't need solid food until around 9 months but they recommend introducing them at 6 months so they can get used to food and eating solids.

I would consult my baby's doctor right away! I would be worried. A 6 month old baby should be eating between 3 to 6 jars a day.( If 6 including fruit baby food as a snack)

My son wouldn't have anything to do with baby food. He drank formula from a bottle until a year old and then drank whole milk and ate reg. food. He was a very healthy baby, he was never sick til he started daycare at the age of 3.

Don't worry about it.

At 14 months, a new child could be eating genuine foodstuff, no longer the jarred infant stuff. try offering her a variety of unpolluted culmination and vegetables. slightly cheese and yogurt could be stable too. If the universal practitioner says she is healthful adequate to consume what you consume, then feed it to her. If no longer, he will inform you what kinds of ingredients your daughter desires. it could be, that she desires a magnificent eating recurring. as quickly as on the eating recurring the universal practitioner gives you, you're able to see a huge distinction in her visual charm, urge for foodstuff, interest and weight. My youngest does no longer consume something for the longest time. She grow to be finally clinically determined with interest Deficit Hyperactive affliction. as quickly as she started the right medicine, her urge for foodstuff more suitable, and she or he started gaining the load she needed. She's now 7 years previous, and healthful as a horse.

I don't think so. Actually, I think it is a good thing. All of the babies I have known who are disinterested in food end up having a good sense of hunger boundaries when they are older, so they stay naturally thin. I have two nieces like this, and they both have turned out healthy (and slender).
