If parents make sure they're children's accounts are set to private, check up on them once in awhile...

My daughter, who was always extremely shy before, has really blossomed and become so much more outgoing since starting her myspace.
I keep tabs on my kids activities online.
It's not like they are talking to anyone and everyone. We have to approve of the people they talk with in order for them to add anyone.

She is so creative and can really "pimp" up a myspace, I'm proud of hers! She gets requests from her friends to help them with their myspaces. I think my kids using myspace to talk to friends is a lot safer than having them running around God KNOWS where on the streets (the way I did as a kid! lol) I wish I'd had it back then to kill some time. At least you know they're safe, AS LONG AS YOU WATCH THEIR ACTIVITIES ONCE IN AWHILE!

There must be SOMEONE out there, (a parent, not a kid...) who agrees with me?

YES, I understand the dangers, and they do, too. That's why it's important that parents keep themselves aware of their children's activities. Myspace is not "all bad..."

Definetly. I agree with you. The only problem is the perverts online who ruin it for the rest of Myspace-Users; thus making it NOT user-friendly. Especially when it comes to kids.

Interesting. In regards to "much more outgoing since starting her myspace."

Maybe it's just me, but my eyes read this as "Staring" instead of "Starting." I think that just about says it all....
