For about three months, I have been thinking about asking a friend out. I think that he still likes me. I'm not sure if he even likes me or not because he wanted to ask me out at a campout that had alcohol and he was drunk. Ever since then, I have been thinking about asking him out, but don't have the nerve to do it. I'm afraid to ask him out in front of friends because of what they might think because people think he's kind of a creep. I know he's a nice guy and I've given it a lot of thought and want to ask him out nonetheless. How do I ask him out in front of friends without making a fool of myself, feeling stupid, or being laughed at?

He's not a drunk, he just got drunk at a camp out (which is the only time I know of) and he's a pretty cool guy, but can be strange at times. But, overal

Well, one suggestion could be you asking him out in a sort of joking way. Like so, "Hey Jim, you owe me a date." He's going to react as in "What? What do you mean?" or something around that area. You can tell him that he asked you out on the camp out, but probably doesn't remember because he was drunk ( all this with a light attitude and a smile). That you didn't think he was serious and that was the alcohol talking, but if he was then you 2 might go out some time, see what happens. That you might be into him. Reassure him that you are serious and it's not a joke but don't get all serious or nervous. Try to tell him while you 2 are alone, not alone alone but as in no one is in hearing distance, it will make things easier. If its impossible to get him by himself then well just do it anyway... Good luck! ♠

Are you hearing yourself? You said the guy is a drunk and a creep. Why would u want to ask someone out with those qualities. Are you looking for trouble, or stress or a miserable life?
Think it over dear.

Maybe he is having the same reluctance as you, you will may let a good thing pass you up if you don't take the chance. What is the worst he says "No" then move on, but atleast you can rest your mind and say that you gave the opportunity!

try to get drunk yourself and courageously ask him-- ha ha ha!!!
well, i'm just joking-- try this, just project the natural you-- just be yourself. plainly ask him (especially when he's alone and at ease), with pure confidence that you're wondering if you could buy him a pizza or cafe latte or beer or whatever you have in mind that you think that would get him interested in.. make your start a stunning one, it will surely count..
good luck

ask him in a casual or ordinary way, nothing special. Just ask him if he would be interested to go out and hang out. Better to ask him if friends are not around.

well, i say just pass him a quick little not, or just say in passing if you get a minute with him alone, ask him if he wants to go out to the or something sometime.
