Last vacation my wife and me stayed at a Country Inn and Suites.
Accomodation was great blah blah blah...
Around 9 pm we decided to practice reproduction.
Thing is that the headboard was not properly attached to the wall, and an annoying banging was produced towards the next room.
Nobody complained.
At about 10 pm, the need for preserving the specie came again to us, so we started our job again... more banging, moaning, etc...
Again, luckily, nobody complained.
Okay, it's 11:30 pm and we don't feel like sleeping yet, so, while watching Conan, we get mushy mushy again and the banging starts one more time...
This time our "probably tired" neighbors start to punch the wall like maniacs towards us like the hotel was on fire...
Fortunately we managed to come anyways.
Questions:

Was our fault for being on heat?
Was Country Inn's fault for not attaching properly the headboard?
Was Country Inn's fault for constructing such poor walls?
Was the neighbor's fault for being awake?

The polite and curtious thing to do would have been to leave the defective bed. The procreation should have then taken place on the table, floor, or balconey (if present).

However, the true blame lies in you cause you "worked it" instead of being a minute man. Everything would have been fine if you would have done the duty in 30 secs or less like the rest of us.

I suspect that your "neighbor" put up with the "banging" at 9:00pm then again put up with it, again at 10pm., and finally....
"snapped" at 11:30.
As far as finding fault goes, this is another matter.
Personally I feel for your neighbor as It is either incredibly funny, or incredibly annoying to be subjected to this "all to frequent occurrence" especially when you are trying to sleep!
You may dis-agree, but you must realize that this is a hotel, not your house. You must automatically assume there is someone on the other side of that wall trying to sleep (it's 11:30pm).
Furthermore you knew the headboard was loose, is hitting the wall, yet you just kept on going anyway.
Consider yourself lucky that this individual wasn't banging down your DOOR and was mentally "unbalanced"!
There are a lot of crazies out there!
By the way, you may have tried another position, location as the headboard was not properly attached!!!
Nobody is at fault in this situation.
I would answer NO to your 4 questions.
No one would have banged on the wall if you two hadn't started banging first!!
Have a nice evening!!!

Well if you knew it was making a lot of noise why didn't you just move the fun to the floor? Or ask for a room that didn't have such a crappy bed? I'd say the hotels fault for not having proper walls or a proper headboard. But I think you bear some of the responsibility because you never tried to change room. In the end though who cares? You got your jollies and eventually the neighbors got to sleep.

Not all headboards are attached to the wall--most home-style headboards just hold the mattress and boxsprings and are free-standing (that is, not bolted to the wall. I almost typed, "screwed to the wall," but I figured you were awfully horny and maybe it wouldn't be good to give you ideas. But I guess I sorta did.)

It's your fault because you knew the headboard banged and you went on, um, banging. My roommate in college at my first apartment had her bed against my wall and the thumpeta-thumpeta-thumpeta was *really* annoying. But she was a ***** in other ways, too, so...that didn't help the headboard situation, but it definitely made it lower on my list of, "things to scream at my evil roommate about." Your bad! If your neighbors *weren't* awake, you probably would have awakened them. So take it to the floor or go camping or something. Those country inns are for people who don't want to rut like animals--come on! They have paper-thin walls and doilies! That's not right for what you were doing. I'd say it was your fault for getting all sexed-up despite the icky surroundings. Go find a truck bed or something.

Well, it's the hotel's and your fault. The hotel should have fixed the headboard, or you should have told them to come up and fix it. Or, in lew of that, do it the floor, couch, etc, to keep from being rude to the people next door. They sound pretty patient but enough is enough.

you're at fault. might desire to have been greater considerate and caught the subject whilst it began or a minimum of on the 2d time around. unfastened bedboards soak up the impression out of your companions head! If undesirable wall contruction became into the case you will possibly have plowed you, your spouse, and the mattress top in the process the wall and top into the subsequent room and into the enterprise of your "probably indignant" acquaintances. acquaintances have been probably saved up from you "banging" your spouse! In end, stay and learn... i might wedge some phonebooks between the headboard and partitions next time ;)

So did they punch a hole through the wall? or did the headboard damage the wall?

I'm not sure what you're tying to find the blame for? Was there any physical damage that occurred or just emotional?
