My fiance and I are trying to pick our son's name. The baby will be half-American/half-Tunisian.. we are trying to figure out which one sounds better.
PS..do either of these names means anything bad in another language that you know of?

Thanks to the people with real answers..as for the others..why don't you realize that both names are perfectly legitimate and popular Arabic names? Jibril is pronounced (Jhih-breel) and Nabil is (Nah-beel).. Jibril is the same as Gabriel in Arabic..and Nabil means Noble. I am not going to name a half-arabic kid "Steve" or something..his last name is going to be Arabic and it won't fit. There is a world outside of our country, you know!

I like Jibril. And your screen name refers to a cat goddess from the golen age of the pharaohs/king tut era. Her name is Bastet. cool. : )

Nabil means noble in arabic and Jibril is the name of the archangel Gabriel. I like how Nabil sounds but if you are Christian or Muslim I believe Jibril is a great name.

I think Nabil sounds good. I like that name better than jibril and feel it would be an easy and a nice name....

Best of luck...

They are both stupid. Name your baby something that people can pronounce. Do you think that the president of a company is going to have a name like Jibril, that is something that you name a hamster not a child. Don't be a jerk to your kids before they are even born.
