I think it is a matter of priority. Transplants come with a host of rejection issues that set the bar high. It if means living a longer life to take anti-rejection drugs the rest of a person's life, the complications are easier to take than the risk without the transplant.

I think procreation is not seen as life or death criteria, so the anti-rejection regimen is worse than the consequence of not having the transplant. Women who cannot bear children have many other options that solve the problem without the invasiveness of the transplant. Adoption, surrogacy, a child-centric career, etc.

Now I have to explain plastic surgery. Well, it doesn't have the negative consequences of transplanting, so it's not the same.

Interesting idea. The first question would be: do anti-rejection drugs affect the possiblity of pregnancy? If the answer is anything other than NO!, then such a transplant would not be useful. But removal of uterus for disease, when more children are contemplated, is rare.

if you think about it, look at everything a person has to go through not to reject a donated organ(liver, heart etc.)It has nothing to do with societal pressure.
