Once you hit your second trimester, you should start to get your energy back, but until then...listen to your body and rest as much as possible.

I think this is a cruel joke from Mother Nature. I think it's your body's way of getting you used to a newborn (seriously). If you're like most women, you won't get more than 2 - 3 hours of sleep at a time between middle-of-the-night feedings and bottles. Even now that my boys are both sleeping through the night (2 1/2 years and 13 months) I STILL get up at least once a night. Really, I think it's become a bad habit. I get up just to check on them, I guess, and to use the bathroom. Honestly, I can't tell you the last time I slept through the night (seriously). Thankfully they're quick trips...I'm up to check, pee, and back in bed asleep usually in 5 minutes or less, but still...it's an interruption in my sleep.

As for the tiredness...I was like this with both pregnancies: started out exhausted, felt great during second trimester, then back to being exhausted. All I can tell you about that is once the baby is born and your hormones get back to normal (usually in several months) you will have quite a bit more energy. Just try to tough it out for now...it'll get better.

My answer is based on my experiences, which were good. Eight weeks, I wish you the best. Prayers to you and your baby. Follow your doctors orders. Life looks tuff right now, but you have a lot to experience, that's why it's called LIFE. Your question is asked by all that are pregnant. Be an active person, you will sleep. Eat right and you will have energy. Again, follow the directions of your doctor. He IS the BOSS! This comes from a father of four, which includes a set of identical twins. A grandfather of nine with a set of identical grandkids. They all call me Pappy Neil, you can too. Good luck, life gets better.

Eight weeks is a tough time in pregnancy. While some women remain tired for the whole pregnancy, some women find that the second trimester and at least part of the third is a very enjoyable time. I would hope that you are better by the end of next month.

If you are tired all the time, mention it to your doctor at the next visit. it is possible that you will need to be checked for anemia.

take your prenatals and your energy will boost come your second trimester....i felt the exact same way...i could sleep for 12 hours a night and not have the energy to do a simple household chore....exercising also helps...try taking a short walk in the morning before it gets too hot. but yea it will get better...you'll still be exhausted but it wont be as bad as what it is now

Yes, all you ever want to do is sleep, sleep and sleep some more.. Its like that in the first few months.. by the fourth month you wont sleep as much.. then the fifth month will be like you got all your energy back... best months are the fifth and sixth and... maybe the seventh.... it depends on how big ur tummy grows then... Congrats.. : )

Take short naps durring the day to complement the sleep you do get , I saw a special on the news with women that had the same problem . Maybe it might work for you .

ha ha ha. It will get better once you are three months, but until then, just sleep. I'd sleep 11 hours a night, then take a nap in the middle of the day and still be groggy.

no :) Just kidding. Perhaps in about 8 weeks you will have a nice spurt of energy, then nesting will hit, then the baby will be born.

SLEEP WHILE YOU CAN, lol.
