For the past two weeks, I've been unable to sleep at night due to night sweats and hot flashes. When I get a hot flash within a couple of minutes it feels like my heart is going to jump right out of my chest. Is this normal? Any remedies for relief?

Oh boy! I hear ya!...anxiety takes over when the hot flashes start... I know it's almost unbelievable and /or unbearable but you have to calm yourself..in my case the sweating won't stop until I wake up and get a glass of icy water. Put the fan on high, try to relax and as soon as your body temperature goes down you should be able to fall asleep again. If not, try Benadryl, one capsule just before bedtime or Melatonin, one 3mg pill. Try to establish a calm just before you go to bed routine.. it helps me.

WELCOME TO THE AGE. SOME DO DRUGS, I DID NOT. TRIED SEVERAL THINGS BUT NOTHING SEEMED TO WORK. SO JUST WENT WITH THE NEW AGE EVENT. I COULD DEAL WITH IT. AND I DID.
