Friendship wins by a long shot. How many ex-lovers do you know that still call each other just to say Hello?

Not many, I guarantee it!!

My wife is my best friend first and my lover after that .
Married for close to twenty years and if she were not my friend then we would not have made it this far . You need a great base in order to keep romance alive and that base is friendship.
I know you see people in movies that clash violently and make love with a heated passion but that flame .is extinguished after a fleeting moment .A smoldering ember that leaps to light and then dies down only to explode again and again is the love fueled of friendship So romance will fade but friendship will always hold

Friendship. Romance is great...but at the end of the day, your romantic partner had better be your friend as well, because THAT'S what bonds you forever.

if by romancel, you mean marrige, then friendship.
because if you have a friendship with a guy and it's a mutal FRIENDship, then it will last because there is less tension, but in romance, i may not last because couples tend to have more problems then friends.
