I'm 19 and I really want my belly button peirced. Should I have it done? Does it hurt?

it really didnt hurt that bad...
not to scare you or anything but it depends on where you get it done. If you chose to do it, get a little background info and ask around for a good piercer. The guy i went to was fine with the actual percing part, but when he tried to get the ring in he couldnt get it through!
He said some people have different skin too so that can affect the if it hurts you or not.
If my piercing was to close i WOULD get it again. I think it makes you look skinnier when your in a bikini too! Draws attention to the piercing....

absolutely. I am 33 and I am going to get my done soon. I have put it off forever and I regret not doing it. My favorite is a four point star that rest inside your belly button is its flush. I envy woman who get to do all the fun stuff. GO FOR IT

Why? Isn't your belly button cute enough on it's own? I think only people with ugly belly buttons get them pierced.

NO! My friend did that and she got a infection and let me tell you GROSS!!! And she said it hurt like CRAZY!!!!
Also don't get your tongue, eyebrows, or whatever else that is not your ears pierced! I think that looks so really weird! One time I saw a guy with his tongue pierced and he showed me and the ring made a split down his tongue GROSS
But this is my option...do whatever you feel is right to you!

Well, I might sound very conservative, but I would advice you to do not do it!
Though, if it will assist you to overcome some obstacle or feel better, then go on!
Since many are doing it, I suppose it is neither painful nor dangerous!

You shouldn't .
Once I heard these girls talking about how their belly buttons ripped because of their pierces...but they got them pierced again anyways.
I think it would hurt alot.

Yes you should. Im 15 and have mine done! they are super cute and you should have a cute barbell with little dangley thing on it. ANd no it dosnt hurt very bad :) Good luck

if you cant decide for yourself whether or not to do it, dont. it's your body and you have to live with it. If you want it, do it-it can always be taken out. Yes it does hurt for a second...it may be sore for awhile, especially if bumped or pulled but tolerable.

I have mine done and I don't regret it. It will be sore for a while (you are poking a hole in your body after all), but clean it well and it won't get infected.
