I have a check and it is made out to me and someone else. The money is going to me so the other person signed it and sent it to me since we live in different places. I tried to cash it but I have been continuously told that the other person needs to be present. That is not going to be possible.

Don't know about your bank but our 'round here let us do that all the time. We only deposit the things rather than cash them though.

If you can't cash it try paying it into an account. If you have a joint account that will be easiest.
