i am a real friend, and it takes: courage, courage 2 be honest, like if she says '' do this shirt goes with this skirt and be honest '' then be honest, because if she didnt want u 2 be honest, then she wouldnt have said it then, not in less she loves 2 waist her breath.... u also have 2 be nice, because nobody dont want a bully 2 be thier best friend, because i know i dont..... u also have 2 be there 4 one another, because u mite be the only one she can come 2 when she needs somebody 2 be there 4 her and 2 talk 2, help her out with her problems and stuff like that, so if she comes 2 u then dont be mean and say stuff like '' y u telling me '' or '' u telling me because..... '', because it takes courage 2 come up 2 somebody and ask them what should they do, u know what i mean...... u also have 2 be considerate, because lets say 4 a example: both of yall tried out 4 a sport and only one of yall made it, dont be mad and say 2 ur' freind '' well since u made it and i didnt, then im not coming 2 the game then '' dont do that, because its not like she did it on purpose just 2 make u mad at her..... also be honest at all times, because if u a good friend, then u wouldnt lie 2 her or do her wrong an any kind of way, that will make her feel bad about her self or something..... u also got 2 be kind, because i know nobody wants a friend who is going 2 be rude, in anyway, because i know i dont..... u also going 2 have 2 be a goooood person and not hate one another or anybody else, because GOD hate uglyness, and i do 2........and in other words be yourself, but be a gooood person!!!!!! ALWAYS towards anybody and everybody k, because u dont know if u r the only friend she has or the only friend that she can come and talk 2 and share her feeling about things, so be a goooooood person, k!!!!!

First and formost would be trust.. a true friend should be able to tell you anything and not have to worry that everyone will know their innermost secrets. The second is respect....respect when the other may need some space and have them realize you may need some as well.
