The book was SOOOO much better!!! It was very different, Kevin Spacy's character is black in the book, and it made such a big difference in the plot... I was REALLY surprised to see they changed that when they made the movie.... Please read the book.... You'll love it!

That's one of those movies that although it's sad in the end, it's good, so kinda a happy ending as well. The candlelight vigil showed just how many people's lives that young boy touched by a school project. And, his alcoholic mother did not drink when he died, another good thing. Like in life, find the good in the bad.

So go watch a comedy.

Try Uptown Girls. It is some what of a sensative chick flick romantic comedy with a little pathos for you to cry over before you smile. Enjoy.

I was very sad at the end as well. But one good thing you can focus on is that you are a caring and good individual, if you weren't you wouldn't have been upset at the end. I think it's good for us to realize how much we can affect eachother and, even if it is sad, to be able to empathize with others.

yes, it's a really tragic ending...but in a way it does kind of inspire you to 'pay it forward' or at least act civil and treat all people with respect until theyve violated it - i think they needed that dramatic ending in order to make a statement...it would be strange if they just all started paying it forward and then end it. i mean, thats not thought provoking

What's your question?

I liked it... I always cry when I know the candlelight vigil scene is coming up.

I laughed when that kid got stabbed, so in the end, I felt good.
