If you suffer from morning sickness, try chewing ice chips until your stomach feels strong enough to eat. Then go slowly...try dry toast, crackers, etc, just like if you had a stomach virus. Don't gulp drinks - take small sips for the first little while. Definately try some Ginger Ale. Ginger is famous for settling the stomach, and is considered a clear liquid (easier on tummy). Just don't over-do, and you should be feeling more like yourself soon. By the way, stay away from spicy stuff...Hard on the tummy. Congrats on the new baby!!

I couldn't keep anything down through both of my pregnancies. I lost 47 lbs in the first four months. I found nothing helped. Talk to your ob/gyn for recommendations. For extreme cases there are medications they can prescribe. Also for my second child they told me prenatals and iron can make you ill. I don't know if that is true or not but I stopped taking them and I only lost another 17 lbs. Good luck. It is miserable.
