there is a God. You should read a bible that you can understand.(New World Translation of the Holy Bible) I think it is sad for people who don't believe in God, until they have a life threatening situation. God is helpful in every life's aspects, just read the bible you'll see

Oh yes, absolutely. I pray as well. Life threating situations are the best time to pray! I'd say I'm living proof that it works too, having put myself in many life threating situations. I'm still alive, at least I think I am, it's hard to tell sometimes; I live in Canada.

I do not believe in God and therefore I would not pray if I were in a life-threatening situation. I would focus more on my ability to get me out of that situation and if that is not possible than I would take comfort in my friends and family and not god.

sHumans always search for a higher being, it is in our make-up, ie all the religions of the world. Who has the right one? Pray and or religion is used as a last resort in grave situations. It sometimes bring people to faith even greater than they had planned if it turns out the way they prayed. Its all in the mind.

I don't believe in God, but life-threatening situations bring out all kinds of feelings and hopes. Maybe, I'd pray to something greater, not necessarily any specific God.
I *hope* there is somewhere better after this, but I don't believe there is.

No, I believe in no sort of god or gods.
In a life-threatening situation, I will use brute strength to handle the situation (simply the way I am), not hope that any divine being will care enough to do anything.

No, and no. I'm in law enforcement and I have been in one life-threatening situation. During that incident, I relied on my partner and other colleagues (and they relied on me too) to get everyone home safe and sound. To me, those guys and gals are better than god because I know for a fact they will be there when I need them.

i find a lot of kids my age who don't believe in a god do excactly what your questions states.
they walk around, different from everyone else and cooler too, becuase they dont believe in god. but once sh*t starts to hit the fan you hear them cry out "god please" or "oh my god"
hypocrisy.
i dont believe in any particular god. i feel there is a spiritual creater/leader thing but i don't think we need to pinpoint it down to one particular god and then condemn everyother religon to hell. i think as long as you have some spiritual juices flowing your good.
as for praying to god when life sucks. i don't. but i think i'd pray to some sort of god if i were about to get killed or something.
