Neddie, you liberalism is killing me. As a boomer I would have thought you'd understand the worlds situation better than some of these uninformed children that so often spill their guts in here. Okay, so you don't like what's happening in Washington. Neither do I but you have to believe in your heart that right or wrong no one wants to fail in their tasks. My Dad was a B17 pilot in WWII so I understand where you're coming from. If we don't like what's happening we just vote and try and correct things.

Yes, because they will all get lucrative jobs in the private sector when they leave. The reward for having connections in gov't.

Chuck P is right - they get the Presidential Medal of Honor, Like George Tenet for saying "slam dunk" there are WMD in Iraq. And Tommy Franks for executing a war plan with an insufficent # of troops, and Paul Bremer for doing such a good job as head of the Provisional Authority. He's the one that fired the 1 million strong Iraq Army, so they could take their weapons and expertise and start the insurgency. And so the US could start trying to build a new Iraq Army from scratch, using rejects, criminals and misfits who never could have gotten into a real army.
