Why does the world focus on USA?

Why does the world obsess on the american 'empire' but ignore real threats in the world such as islamic facism?

I agree US should mind its own business. We shouldn't have went into europe in ww1 and ww2 or protected Euro nations in the cold war. We should've just let everything happen.

The world doesn't obsess on the USA.
It is the USA that keep showing all over the word uninvited.
When that happens the world says :Oh ,here are the USA -again.

It is not the Europeans that encourage the USA ,its always and only the British.They are only a small fraction of the European union.They still remember their empire -even though it lasted only for 100 years-and feel they should lead.And they are pissed that the EU is not buying.

About the cold war :it happened AFTER the USA divided Europe with the Soviets and because of that.YALTA gave the Soviet union power.

And no ,i am not anti-American.I have a different perspective than you.WW2 happened in Europe not the USA.You red about in books we have lived through it.

You have said it all in your question, (American Empire)
After the second world war America had all nation sign a treaty. That would have all other countries that had empires to dismantle their empires. So as to allow all the small countries to govern them selves. (All except Palestine) they gave it to the Jews.

The USA did not have the right to give away something they did not own.

The then government of the USA could move in to control the economies of the newly formed states and they have done so ever since.

It is in fact just another away of empire building
(not by possession) but (by monetary control) which is of little if no benefit to the countries in question.
The only Country to benefit is the USA. that is a (one sided deal) to any other country. The rest of the world is just waking up to what the USA is doing so they are up in arms against the USA and it foreign policies.

Is it no wonder that peoples all around the world are against the USA.
Would not the USA be upset If your economy was controlled by some others country. The Islamic fascism as you call it would not
exist if it was not fore the USA and its move to control the middle east. The greed of the American Government is behond belief.

I think the world is not focused on USA. I think USA invades countries with propaganda. Something like "Look at us where democracy and peace in the world yada yada. If you don't agree with me you're an islamic fascist". Last time Dubya and Blair tried that but I guess It didn't work.

Pick-up a history book. In there you'll find the reason why most continents don't like us or hate us. It's really quite simple. "Islamic Facism" is propaganda, and since Bush just said they about two weeks ago, I assume your someone that just parrots everything he says, which leads me to believe your just another uninformed person on this board. The domestic news stations don't offer anything more than news items that pertain to our own country. Therefore, we are left with the impression the world obsesses about the U.S.A. because OUR news slants that way when actually most foriegn news is about their own issues, not so much about us.
