As a Sox fan, I completely expected this to happen. The Red Sox will always, ALWAYS let their fans down. I don't know how they pulled out that miracle in 2004. Anyway, I knew it would happen, and any other real Red Sox fan knew it too. However...can you imagine how the Yankees fans will feel if Boston does come back, sweeps them in four games in Yankee Stadium in September, and ends up winning the division after this? Wow.

I'm a die hard Yankee fan, but if you had asked me last Thursday night if we would have the broom out for this series, I would have said "unlikely" but I hope we take three of five. It was a pleasant surprise to take all 5...they played good ball the last 4 days (well, most of them did). Imagine how the Sox feel after the damage Johnny Damon did to them. Let's keep up the momentum...GO YANKS!!!

I'm not a Yankees fan, but the Red Sox fans are probably hiding under their bed drinking heavily right now.

Go Tigers!

When people shout out "Best team money can buy", do they ever realize that the highest payroll to ever win the World Series was the 2004 Red Sox?

I am a diehard Sox fan, and all I could do this weekend was shake my head. I DON'T GET IT. Well, no, I DO get it....the pitching sucks. How do you score 11 runs in a game and STILL lose? I boycotted today's (Monday's) game and didn't watch it because it's a waste of my time lately! My husband said, "Don't you feel sacreligious not watching?" and I said to him, "their PLAY has been sacreligious, so when that changes, I'll watch."

Always a Sox fan, always let down.......UGH.

I'm not a Sox fan, but I imagine they don't feel too bad. They got beat by a team with the highest payroll, which whom will yet again not win the World Series =)

Probably better than how the YANKEES felt when they blew a 3-0 lead in the A.L. Championship 2 years ago.
