Since Global warming is due to the thinning of ozone in the upper atmosphere, why cannot we attach ozone emitters to aircraft. Would this not be a basic idea to INJECTING ozone back into the atmosphere.

I understand that global warming is caused by pollution and the greenhouse effect. The reason pollution and the greenhouse effect is heating the planet is because they THIN the ozone layer. This thinning traps the heat. Read up on it.

Global warming has NOTHING to do with ozone levels in the upper atmosphere.
Carbon Dioxide levels in the lower atmosphere are one contributing factor. It is still unproven that man is responsible for the rise in carbon dioxide levels.
The relationship between CO2 levels and heat retention is non-linear. Doubling the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere would not double the effect.
Based on the best data available, the average temperature increased by about one half a degree over the last century. Not all of that change can be blamed on CO2.
There has been no increase at all since 1990.

This is NOT a silly and pointless question. You just got a few facts mixed up. The thinning ozone layer is allowing more of the sun's harmful components in , causing genetic damage, among other things.
Your suggestion is far fetched. It means you are thinking, but it is not practical.
The earth's atmosphere is huge. HUGE! It takes MASSIVE amounts of ozone to replace what has been lost over a period of generations. We would have to manufacture it, since the only place it occurs naturally is in the upper atmosphere.
To manufacture it would take a lot of electrical energy. The production of that much energy would tend to produce a lot of the pollution. A lot of the energy we use, today, is make by burning fossil fuels, an increasingly rare commodity.

Global warming has nothing to do with the thinning of the ozone layer. global warming is caused by an increase in the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere, thus increasing the green house effect. Which in turn warms the global climate.
The thinning of the ozone layer is a whole different issue. You are the one who should read your source says in black and white, "From that point on, the already-banned CFCs have stayed off the table in all global warming discussions."

Do you have any idea how much volume of ozone you would have to manufacture to even make a dent in the hole? The numbers are astronomical. Not a practical solution to the problem. The other problem is that cholrine monoxide is a very potent catalyst of ozone degradation under activation by UV radiation. Therfore as soon as you tried to plug the hole the chlorine would begin once again to eat away at it till it was gone.
Clearly this strategy would waste resources and would not address the real source of the problem: us!

Global warming is a farce.
Here's a little advance notice of the impending "warming"
The publication was called "the Farmers' Cabinet"
January 5,1858 ; Volumn 56 ; Issue 23 ; Page 2
.
.
Lately, the leftists have tried to make hay with falsehoods & crooked science concerning "global warming".
Even as his movie was being premiered, Al Gore admitted that it wasn't based on actual certainties.

.
.
One other small point......
If there were not a naturally occurring hole in the ozone over the Pole, how would the spent gasses escape our atmosphere?
It's simply a scare tactic.

If you inject ozone into the upper atmosphere it will not reverse global warming. Global warming is caused by green house gases, these gases include methane and carbon dioxide. Green house gases must be removed from the upper atmosphere to reverse the warming. This currently can't be done.

sounds like hollywood to me...
you are talking about 2 processes here:
1. ozone layer depletion is caused by the release of CFC's into our atmosphere. although CFC's are also greenhouse gases (which may be where you got the idea of global warming), the depletion of the ozone layer allows more harmful UV radiation into our atmosphere. this causes skin cancer and such.
2. global warming. we use this term to refer to anthropogenic greenhouse gases (mainly carbon dioxide) which is believed to have led to additional warming.
because earth is a system, there two processes are probably interconnected at some level. however, it is important to understand that "global warming" and "depletion of ozone layer" are two separate issues. again, i blame the media for the confusion.

Almost a good question..
I suppose there is a reason we cannot inject ozone into the
upper atmosphere in significant quantities but I am not sure.
Beyond that...
Global warming is a different issue...

2 different types of ozone mate, they share the name but little else, there's good ozone and there's bad ozone, the bad ozone doesn't wanna sit up there, and it wouldn't do the same job, and as far as I know we can't produce that kind of ozone, and even if we could the costs would be HUUUUGE...

No. Way more complicated than that and you got it all sideways, global warming is not from thinning ozone. It's from pollution.
