I have been a waitress for many years because i like it.Hubby makes well enough for the family.I do it for the hours and the ex-cash for myself.we have 7 mexicans resturants in our little town i went and applied at all of them just to see if i could get it all of them told me they hire no americans because we dont work hard like they do.I am angry,am i wrong to be mad......

You are simply one of the first victims of the the coming reverse discrimination. As aliens keep coming across out borders, we will soon be the minority in our own country. Really scary to hear it already. WE NEED TO TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY.

If they said that to you, as a potential employer they violated your civil rights, and opened the door to a law suit. Depending on your agenda, you can contact a labor lawyer and sue or let it go. If let go they will discriminate again. Do you think they'd let it go if you said something like that to them??? Do you think they will stop it unless their hand is called? Doubt it.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. While not precisely on the up and up, there may be more practical reasons than your work ethic that they actually base their decision on. I'm sure you can find employment at another restaurant in town.

Hooters doesn't hire what they perceive to be unattractive girls. I have never seen a Caucasian waitperson in a Chinese restaurant. If they had not made that statement but had that attitude you probably would have been miserable working there.

yes, it's just normal to get mad because you are a victim of being discriminated...and it's not right to judge a person as we each have own different personalities apart from what race we belong to....
