It does take about 3 weeks for your skin to get used to this regimen - with consistent and dedicated use (twice a day) your skin should start to work better. I hope that you are using a moisturizer with your skin care - the reason why is that this product contains a lot of benzoyl peroxide which can dry your skin - you skin compensates by overproducing oil. With a oil-free moisturizer you can combat the breakouts from happening! Try and see if Clearasil has a moisturizer that you can use with your face wash. good luck sweets!

What works for one person, does not necessarily work for another. Some treatments work for a large number of people. Their effectiveness is judged on that basis. I suffer from quite bad acne. I use Clearasil Ultra quite often and it does not really help me at all (or if it does only slightly). Trying seeing a doctor or derm for a perscription med/ and try different over the counter products. Clearasil is more for spots anyway - not acne. If you suffer from persistant acne, it won't do much for you. I hear proactive is good.

Sometimes when you wash your face too much it can actually cause acne. If you are not seeing results you may consider seeing a doctor. Perhaps this brand is not for you.
Make sure that your face is clean when you apply it, but don't scrub. A good facial cleanser can help, but it is possible that you need a prescription.
