I only can get a wave pattern on the top of my head and back. I was wondering how to get waves all around.

omg hes talkin about waves on a guy... anyways my brother has waves and i help him with them so what you need to do is find a wave wax and apply it every night then brush it for a while and put on a wave cap. (theres a difference between a wave cap and a doo-rag) then when you have somewhat of a formation of waves use wave holding cream with no oil! works great make sure to use a brush made of horse hair you can find them everywhere preferably made by "goody"
also brush from the center to the sides of your head not from the top down

Get you some Duke's wave groom, a soft brush and a wave cap. Wash your hair apply the Duke, brush your hair really well all around and apply the wave cap before you go to bed.

it helps when your hair is thick
use thickening and wavy shampoo and conditioner
