Racism is NOT about adopting, or refusing to adopt, clothing styles, music genre, or slang.
Racism is about Racial Superiority. The Racist believes their race is Superior to another (or all) race. A racist is not likely to be involved with civil rights activism and is more likely to condemn activists. A Racist would also condemn the music, clothing and slang of their targetted race.

They are stupid, and are being very stereotypical. Not all black people listen to hip hop, use slang or foul language, etc, Would you say that black people who are not into all of those things hate their own race? Of course not. People just have different tastes. Cheers!

IF you listen to black metal, you are a satanic worshippin blasphemer!!!! how's that?
It's ridiculous. How many black people are in your class? Some Blacks, in my experiences, have a closed minded attitude. Some white dude i know was listening to some Black Sabbath in his car one day, and a black guy told him to "turn that $hit down, man!" But the black guy would blast his stereo really high. It's just hypocritical b.s. that we have to deal with, because some blacks think they own the world and can tell a white guy what to do, like we have to listen to them. to hell with those type of black dudes!

They are full of it. Just because you do not listen to or like the music does not make you racist. That is their opinion that you just need to ignore.

We have to remember that as an American society, we are so stooped in white supremacy that it is like a fish in water; we are so surrounded with white supremacy that like a fish, we are unable to comprehend how wet the water is.

Well, from what you said, don't worry they are just calling you names, and those usually don't make much sense anyway. (Not in English).
You can tell if someone is just calling you names if they are upset, repetitive and not making a proper argument with their words, in those cases, look carefully and you will see that what you are being accused of if mostly that the accuser fears or rejects in him or herself.

Why would you be apologizing to anyone? you didn't say anything that would offend anyone and the people that are telling you that you are a racist are wrong. That is, if what you say is true.
