The part of the nose you are referring to is actully made up of cartilage which is not part of a skeleton comprised of only bone. If you look at an anatomically correct skeleton you will see small bones internally and about halfway down when you look at your nose. They provide the bony structure and the rest of what you feel in your nose is all cartilage and soft tissue.

As a matter of fact, there's very little bone in the nose, Just the wee bit at the top, referred to as the 'bridge'. The bit that gives the nose its form, the septum - between the nostrils - is made of cartilage, and doesn't constitute part of the skeleton.

During the development of an embryo, the parts of the human body or any other animal is determined by the expression and interaction of the different genes. thus, the nose, which is part of the head or face, will only be located only in that part. if there is a genetic defect in the genes expressing the development of the nose, then there may be a chance that the nose might grow anywhere on your skeleton.

The main part of the nose that protrudes from your face is made of cartilage. Very little of your nose is actually bone. Actually, the only part of your nose that is really bone is what you see on a skull.

The nose is made of cartilage - like shark's skeletons - which is gristle not bone. Cartilage, like skin and hair decays much more easily than bone.

the main part of the nose isnt bone-its just really hard/tough cartilage, its why you can break it. also, if the nose was bone, if you broke your nose itd heal straight again, but because the cartilage has a bit of flex in it, healed broken noses tend to stay slightly at one side (if you know what i mean)
