I'm a klutz. I bump into things, fall over or hurt myself alot. I'm lucky to go 3 weeks without going to A&E or my doctor for some injury, usually minor thank goodness. I'm so grateful that my bf has a sense of humour about it because my ex's have got angry with me for being less than perfect. I'm clumsy about what I say sometimes too and find myself apologising alot. I try to laugh off my 'bumps' but actually I do feel terribly embarrassed and wonder what people must think of me. I'm also scared my bf might get accused of hurting me even though family and friends know what I'm like. I try to go to A&E on my own to avoid this. Is anyone else like this or do you have any advice? Oh I'm left-handed too.

Have you seen a doctor about your clumsiness?

The first thing that comes to mind is inner ear problem, and with that I will ask my second question, do you have any learning disabilities?

I myself am clumsy, at the moment it is mostly related with fun dizzy spells I get due to a long-term health complaint, but in the past it has been down to bad balance. A neighbour one day commented 'you're dyslexic aren't you?' baffled I asked her how she knew – I walk with my head down – I look up I walk into things, bad balance, somehow learning disabilities are linked with this.
Vaguely unrelated I know but there are exercises that help with this; bouncing a ball with both left and right hands, throwing bean bags with both left and right hands, balancing on top of a ball and so on – the general idea is to get your body to recognise both sides of your body, improving balance and in turn learning difficulties.

These very simple exercises simply improve balance, something that you may need, it may be something more serious, and it may be you are just accident prone, but if nothing else improved balance may help you.

This may sound silly but- take up jujitsu! I was really clumsy but since doing this sport my balance kicks *** and I'm much more body aware.

Yoga... No, somewhat. it may help. exercising will rewire your thoughts with greater desirable stability. Yoga is powerful for this. :) (And it certainly improves state of thoughts and concentration...) yet you're able to do different issues in case you like.

Open your eyes.

No, really, I don't see what being left-handed really has to do with it. I'M left-handed! Oh, wait...I'm clumsy, too. Not as much as you, though.

Slow down. Take your time. Think about what you are doing and don't let yourself get distracted.
