I am an Indian presently on a visit to Columbus,Ohio,USA from the last 6 months. What I little know about Americans is that, they r good and lovable. When u see some one in ur neighbourhood or any shopping mall or a tourist place , they greet u with a smile and wave their hand. They r so friendly and well behaved. They give preference to others even if they have to put up slight discomfort for themselves. We hardly find this culture in our country.Long Live America and Americans.

Individually I usually like most Americans, that said I've only ever met Americans while they were outside of America. Travellers of any nation tend to be more open, accepting, and tolerant.
As a nation, I don't like Americans. I don't like their government, their blind stupidity or their superiority complex. America as it is now is a blight on civilisation, the worlds greatest busy-body and I am ashamed that I come from the western english speaking world because of them.

P.S. I'm Australian.

Americans are generally good - mannered and polite .excepting a very few like senator Alan. The people of a country ar judgedby th behaviour of the majority and not by the exceptions. Fortunately, the senator the senatro exposed his true colour before the elcetion to enable the people of this great country to see his true colour . His apology also served as another exposure that he talks and does things that he does not understand and it is a warning signal to the people of this country that to elcet such an irresponsible person as senator or president of a great nation will be disastrous . Barring a few freaks like him , the Americans are really loveable people . My natiionality is immaterial in this respect.

That's what I always say!!! :) And I'm proud of it too!
I also find it interesting when people who live in America, go to American schools, live under the American government and take advantage of American opportunities brag about being from another country. Nothing wrong with being proud of your heritage, but I hope they are just as proud of the country they're living in now, that embraced them with open arms! Besides, if their country was so wonderful, wouldn't they be there now instead?? hhmmmm.....

Me Indian but the same time working with an American too , but i cant judge with his attitude because the individual behaviour is depends upon individual not of collective. some may be good and may not be every country has good and bad people.when they are treat other too like them then we can respect any country or individual. if they treat others not equal then they lose respect which american you talkign about

I am proud to say that I am a neighbour of U.S.A, and live in Canada. I am proud of my citizenship also. I have many relatives that are born in America and they are proud of their nationality. It appears that you American's appear more flag waving types of folks but we are all basically North American and proud of it.
