I don't live in a City, thank god! My rural village is lovely. Quiet, lots green lanes and fields, just a few people. Manchester? Hmmm, I once lived in Bowdon, Altrincham, and worked in Wythenshawe. But Manchester is like any city in the UK. Smelly, dirty, overcrowded and too much noise and traffic!

Sorry, but Urban is naff.

Manchester UK? That is funny! I was just reading something by someone from Manchester...

My city the best? No... I don't know what city is the best either.

I guess for a city to be 'the best' it would need to have great people, nice school system, nice old but kept-up buildings..and maybe some that are falling down in the country-side just for looks.. ;)
Nice fields. Lots of nice animals...

Manchester is only the best city in the UK because of the Manchester United Futbol Team! I back the Mighty Reds!

However, in America, I live in a city where it's slogan is..."America's Finest City" We have two seasons here at the Beach in San Diego, California...Summer and Not so Summer...Not so Summer lasts only 2 months from May to June...then it is back to a mean annual temp of 78degres F.

Monmouth College was established in 1853 by pioneering Scottish Presbyterians. A co-educational institution from its founding, Monmouth was one of the first colleges to give women equality with men, it is the birthplace of Pi Beta Phi , the first national women's fraternity, founded in 1867, and of Kappa Kappa Gamma founded three years later.

we have the oldest Airport in continuous operation in the state of Illinois,
Monmouth is the birthplace of Wayet Earp
Monmouth was born of the prarie that is why it is the best city

it started out as nothing and now has grown into a great city ,not too big, or small but just right,

Well, Liverpool has won the City of Culture contest for 2008, sometimes I can only wonder why. A lot of the people are great, yes, but there are an awful lot of a***h***s too. (I'll probably get beaten up next time I stick my head out of the door now! lol)

Why is Liverpool the best city in the world? Where do I start??? History, architecture, humour, football, music.... Glasgow runs us a close second, but their football supporters are a bunch of bigots, so they lose points for that.
