Hi, I have high school try outs for the female golf team. Except I have severe anxiety problems and for some reason i find pain killers help me relax. but id like to find other ways calm down before i audition. im a good player and i dont want this to affect my game. any advice or tips? serious inquires only please!

When I audition for parts in plays, I concentrate on what I'm doing (acting), not why I'm doing it (to get in the cast). Trying that approach may help with your golf tryout.

And cut out the pain killers. They'll end up hurting your game more than helping.

It has been my experience that the most successful people are the ones who have the ability to concentrate under pressure. I have had to develop that myself. I was so demoralized about being watched that most of the time I wouldn't even try. then if I did try I could not get myself to concentrate so I adopted this I am ignorant stance that was completely wrong. I gave people the wrong impression and was passed over many times.
I finally got mad one time and decided poo on the rest and if I did something stupid and looked bad then to heck with it. I was able to concentrate and well I ended up being a cheerleader for 6 years and captain of the squad for 2 of those years. Yeah i really set myself up to be watched. It worked though. concentrate and close out the outside influences, Do not think or react to them . it is not easy, but do not take pill, that is a bad way to start out and it will lead to a downhill rush to failure before it is over.

just do your best. don't think to much and do what youre good at. don't defend it. don't take pain killers for many different reasons. one you'll become addicted. if you want to relax i could recommed something else (no not drugs) its a natrual root but i don't want to do that because the last thing you need to become is dependent on something other than YOUR TALENT.

but if you must. try valaerian root. you can find it just about anywhere and it comes in a liquid form. easily found at places like wholefoods and most health food places. its for relaxing and it will work. follow the instructions. its given to people who are afriad to fly or things like that. it won't knock you out so don't be afraid. but like i said ask your parent FIRST.

from what i know its safe its natural and doesnt leave after affects.

and no you wont get into trouble for being "juiced" its not a steroid.

Met your fear head on by praticeing your try outs on your owen.Then when you think your doing good have a friend or some one you know watch you a few times and give you some in put out side the box. That way you have a better Idea of how much you have Improved on what ever it is your working on.

i'm twelve too yet i admire curler coasters. however the project for me is i'm excited till i in my opinion step on. Then i'm getting fairly frightened, yet quickly after slightly, i'm getting previous my fears and characteristic exciting. So one 3 hundred and sixty 5 days with my lady Scout troop I went to Cedar factor for the 1st time and we went on the main important journey- like only approximately the tallest interior the international and that i grow to be like sooooo scared I only approximately cried. Then I - returned - began to have exciting. Then on the the remainder of the rides, i did no longer experience scared in any respect. To get over your fears like try outs or public speaking first imagine in your mind yourself doing it and doing so good that you win or get chosen imagine their reactions picture it over and over in your mind days before you do it... it also helps to imagine the worst thing happening like your pants falling down or some other bad thing like everyone booing it will prepare you for the best and worst then in your mind you will have to confidence to do it without so much anxiety... pro's use this technique so do actors and CEO's everybody has fears...

try out...experience is the only way.......Try karaoke....lots of it.....get used to being the one with the mic....get the attitude that it don;t matter what "they" think.... You have the stage and they don't...it comes naturally after a while and you perform better unstressed.

the only way to get over the fear of try outs it to try out. ...with a smile. Force yourself....you will thank yourself later.
