People are generally so very loathe to post a picture or video of themselves, but they have absolutley no issue with putting about a zillion pictures of their babies on the internet and countless videos? I mean, maybe I'm just paranoid, but there are some sick jackasses out there...

most people like the way their babies look and want to brag... they don;t post their own pics cause they are afraid of how they look.... humans are paranoid more about their appearance than their safety.

Look at America's funniest home videos though.
I think they want a moment in the sun for their kids.
I totally disagree with baby pagents and little kids' pagents though. That's where the sick jackasses come in.

I don't pictures of my kids up except behind a password protected area or hidden URL on my site. The only people who get to see them are family or friends who I know I can trust not to give them out... and even then I erase them as soon as they confirm that they have seen them - or even if they don't get back to me in a reasonable time.
The internet is PUBLIC and putting up any information is like opening your door to people you don't know.

I'm an outspoken guy with a common name. I post my picture so the wrong guy doesn't get beaten up.
If I had small children, I certainly would put their pictures all over.

Yeah, I totally agree. I had a pic of my daughter as my MSN picture before I realized that people I did not know could be looking at it

You could be right , my wife is very disturbed that so much about peoples personnel lives is out there for everyone to see. Made me tear up my blog.

I agree, I wont put my childrens on here, who knows what they could do with it, they could make it into something completely different! I would hate to see my childs face on here in any other fashion than the original pic!

the whole world is full of them.Some people see their kids as moneymaker!!! They use the pics to start them in the modelling field etc.... No respect for the little one and youth anymore!
