My implantation date would have been on or around August 15ish. I haven't had very much breast tenderness (a very, very little bit maybe) but I've been having cramping in very low abdomen (like I was going to get my period) on and off since the 15th. I've been having TERRIBLE heartburn at night, getting warm all of a sudden for no reason...EATING LIKE A PIG!!!! and small headaches, VERY VERY moody. I am having that "feeling" that I could be pregnant, but some people say it could just be my period coming, which is due 08-24-2006...does it SOUND like I could be in the early stages of pregnancy? Taking a PT tomorrow.

ALSO:: **To add to what I already wrote, I've been getting nauseous after eating, (even though I've been eating truck loads....very, very unusual) and I get nauseous for a quick minute or two maybe and then it goes away...but it's almost every day.

Yes, there is a good possiblity that you are pregnant. I am 7 weeks pregant and have the same symptons w/o the morning sickness. Here is website that you can do a quiz on about your symptons and it will tell you a percentage chance that you are pregnant.

It doesn't really sound like pregnancy, because the symptoms you are relating don't normally happen that early in a pregnancy. You could be getting heartburn because you are eating like a pig -- that's a rational cause and effect. That could also explain the nausea.
Sounds as though you are looking forward to being pregnant, but there is something known as 'hysterical pregnancy' which has nothing to do with hysteria, as in screaming and shouting, but rather, means you are undergoing an imaginary pregnancy. This isn't deliberate, it's nothing you are consciously doing or are responsible for, but your body and your subconscious mind (that's the part of the brain that you can't control) simulate a pregnancy. And it can be very real, with not only the symptoms of a pregnancy, including the swelling abdomen, but even with enlarged breasts and slight lactation. The brain is a very powerful organ and it is astonishing what it can do to our bodies at times.
Mary, Queen of Scots, was probably one of the most famous sufferers of hysterical pregnancy, and in part that might have been because so much was riding on her becoming pregnant. If this is your case, at least you are in good company!
Hopefully, if you want to become pregnant, you will. But for your own sake, don't rush out and start chowing down for a football team. One small embryo doesn't need much nourishment, so think quality, not quantity.
Good luck to you.

First off what are the usual symptoms when you are having your period. As an RN and a mom of five alot of people really do psych themselves in thinking that they are pregnant when they have missed for a few days. You stressing yourself can actually make your period stay away longer. Pregnancy symptoms do not just magically happen and appear all at once. Take the test, calm down and good luck!

Who the hell do those first two retards think they are? Don't they realise they aren't even helping? God, people like that make me want to vomit!

Anyway, those sound like classic symptoms of pregnancy, with the mood swings , changes in appetite, and the sensations in your breasts.

Wait for your period and see if it does come, then take the pregnancy test. It is impossible to have a real period when you are pregnant, so a missed period would be confirmation, shy of a test.

At the moment, a test won't show up, so don't waste a test as yet. Wait for your period to come... or not.

It's really too early for such obvious symptoms to take action.

If you have any thoughts, try to go see the doctor sometime even though she will tell to wait until you miss your first period.

Sometimes the "feeling" of pregnancy can be phantom. You WANT to be pregnant so your symptoms of a flu or period cramps may be turn into pregnancy symptoms. It happens to us all.

I would wait until the end of the month, and then take an early pregnancy test.

I think if you are pregnant, it would be way too soon to show signs or pregnancy - over eating and morning sickness. Those signs usually don't appear until you're approx. 6 weeks or more along.

If it turns out you ARE pregnant, be careful not to overeat. Not only will the excess weight be a killer to get rid of after the delivery, but becoming overweight will cause problems with your pregnancy and delivery.

Trust me, you don't want to one of those women whose stomach hangs down to her knees years after giving birth because their abdominal muscles were over extended from eating like a horse! Eating for 2 means making sure you AND your baby get the right nutrients. It does not mean being able to break a world record for food consumption!!!

Oh wow! You sound like I sounded, so excited and sometimes that can put things in your head that aren't there. I know I was there for two years.

But yes, the day my baby implanted I was horribly crabby. I remember saying to my mother-in-law that my husband and son were driving me crazy that day when we spoke and they weren't doing anything to bug me.

It sounds like it COULD be, good luck!

PS your period isn't due until 8-24 so even if you get a negative test you could still be pregnant...even with an early test.

Relax!! Sooner or later you'll know if you are pregnant or not. One of the problems that women have in becoming pregnant is too much stress! Stress can delay ovulation, making the timing difficult to predict. Be assured that you'll know for sure when the time comes, and try not to obsess over every little detail!

Unfortunately you won't know for sure until you take the Preg test. You could be so excited about your possibility to be pregnant, you could be having a "phantom pregnancy", in which you exhibit all the signs, but your not. Good luck!

If you are pregnant and you 'eat like a pig' you will still look pregnant after the birth! Eat healthy food in sensible amounts.
