too bad the days are gone when good music was enough to sell an album.

I think it's hilarious that she is always credited for being on the cutting-edge when in fact she has always stolen ideas and fashion styles and dance moves from the truly original and trail-blazing youths of America's inner cities. She comes across as desperate and pathetic. In January 1996, at my birthday party, some friends and I were speculating about what Madonna might do next to get herself into the headlines and I joked, "Why, she'll get pregnant, of course!" About a month later she did! She's just sooo predictable, schmoozing with hotter, younger celebs like Gweneth and Britney (remember the very pre-meditated kiss?) to keep herself in the public eye!

I am sick of Madonna. Her controversial stuff is no longer controversial, but an obvious phoney attempt to grab attention. She has all the money in the world, she is like, hey look at me kids, I'm still cool, huh???
Let her mock Islam and see what happens. Christianity is an easy target for her. She is supposedly for women's rights. Let her wear a Burqa on stage to protest the condition's of Muslim women around the world. She is too chicken, and way way past cool! You got that Madonna, the masses know you are a big phoney has been, got it?

Ya know I'm not sick of Madonna. I admire Madonna. She promotes personal sexual reponsibility to her audience which is, in some cases, underage girls who might hear the message otherwise. She is very hard-working and creative as evidenced by the consistent quality of her albums, tours. She goes over the top as with the recent crucifix thing but why care?

Oddly enough, Madonna's "controversial nonsense" appears rather moderate now. Expected even. Today, for "controversial nonsense" see John Karr.

I'm tired of Madonna's controversial nonsense but not her music, (especially her older stuff)!!

I don't pay much attention anymore. Her music stopped being good long ago. The only reason people pay attention is because they lack anything better to do. Like I said in another post: You can't turn a ho into a housewife!

Honestly,Madonna seems to travel down the same couple of roads.Nothing she does is of shock value anymore and she doesn't seem as contreversial as in the 80's.

Madonna has always used controversy. It's nothing new. I love it though. I think she should push those buttons as long as she can.

I so agree with you. I wish that freak would just stop with everything and settle down and be a Mom and not a freakish whore. She is so outdated and totally in the midst of a mid life crisis.
