Rabbits reach sexual maturity between three and six months of age. A rabbit differs from other mammals in that the female ovulates after being mounted by a male. This is called induced ovulation. This is the only time she produces an egg. This also means that after a rabbit has given birth, if the male is still present, she can and most likely will become pregnant within 24 hours of giving birth. Just imagine how you would feel if you had a baby and within 24 hours you were pregnant again,
If the doe is pregnant, you should
be able to distinguish the embryos as marble shaped forms
as they slip between the thumb and fingers of your hand.
What to do if a doe is pregnant?
27 days after mating, put a nest box in the hutch. The doe
will start to pull fur from her body to line the nest. The doe
usually will consume less feed during this time. Give
her small amounts of green feed.
After kindling, sometimes a doe may be restless. Do not
disturb her until she has quieted down.
Do not check the young until the day after birth and do not
touch them with your hand. Use a stick to gently touch them
when checking and remove any that are dead. They are
blind until the eyes open at 10 days of age.
Leave the young rabbits with the mother
Hope that was of help to you......

It is not good to breed a female rabbit until they are 6 months, but they can breed at four months. Make sure you keep the male away from her after two weeks with her, because he will kill the babies. Just a few days before she will give birth, she will start pulling her hair out from under her chin and make a nest, her nipples will enlarge and you will be able to feel babies moving around in her.
