My favorite quote regarding this is "If the youth of today, with their wanton ways, disregard for authority and general slothfulness are allowed to run the country, it will be the ruin of us all" - Thomas Jefferson - paraphrased.
People have been asking the same thing for hundreds of years.

Some of the kids a wonderful and some not so. They are all tied to being spoiled, too much cell phone, too much internet (myspace, u tube), staying out late... but HEY, what did you do when you were a kid? Stay out late hanging out with your friends with no way to get a hold of you... now at least the kids got a cell where the parents can keep track of them. Has things changed much? Not really... perhaps just being more spoiled, but other than that it's the same... all the generations before complained about the youngest generation. Each complained that its the parents fault.

Depends on the kid. Most are way too spoiled, have everything they could ever need and still are not satisfied. They will have a fit if they can't get what they want or can't do what they want to do. A lot of kids are disrespectful to their parents, their elders, they have no family values and they think the world revolves around them.
In todays world, just to survive, a lot of families need both parents to be working. That means kids are left to do what they want after school, get into trouble, start smoking, taking drugs etc
There are lots of reasons why kids are the way they are these days.

The same things was asked thousands of years ago by Socrates:
"The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers."
Crossing your legs was only done by the elderly and talking out of turn was as bad as swearing at your grandmother...
It's not the kids, it's the society that has changed - We make things easier to get, so the natural urge to rebel causes children to aim higher on the chart for p!ssing of their parents. It's been that way with every generation.

The fact that as the society allows more things to be 'acceptable' the children learn it sooner. That and the fact that most parents don't care anymore.
It used to be that if you got pregnant, the whole village knew, and if you weren't married, you were mocked for it. (Sadly)
But nowadays, people don't care about being married before having sex, and so their children aren't actaully wanted alll the time. They're just a nusisance, they'll come to nothing, they're illegitimate children, etc... (All lies in God's sight, but that's what some kids are taught)
They grow up believing they're unwanted and useless, and they grow up rebellious.

What is wrong is they are being brought up by irresponsible adults.Druggies and boozers
Single parent , or both parents working and no one but the television for guidance.
Pedophile priest , corruption in the news.
Drugs , gangs and too much crowding in schools.
Now ask what is right with kids today.

The parents today don't want to take responsibility for teir own offspring. They would rather blame video games and TV and Eminem and Marilyn Manson and MySpace. They don't realize that their kids have this stuff because their parents let them have it.
Take some damn ownership. Your kid set the carpet on fire because you are a bad parent, not because Beavis & Butthead made him do it.

Not enough peace, quiet, family time, responsibility, and religious training. Too much uncensored entertainment. Drugs. Taking prayer, the pledge of allegience, etc. out of the classroom. Unwed mothers. Fathers who don't want to pay child support. Divorce. Glamorizing entertainers. yada yada yada

Well in my opinion many of today's kids dont know Christ. This is coming from a kid in this generation. I beleive that if more kids had access to know Christ, that we would see a sharp decrease in in school shootings, teenage pregnancy, drug use, aboritions, and suicide. But the problem is that only 4% of my generation will stand up for Christ.
