1990 Subarban 4x4 6.2D.Auto. When I step on the gas there is rumble/whine and its gettin louder.?

When I step off the gas the noise goes away. Checked both front and back rears and they are full. Jacked it up and ran it and the rears are silent. Transfer case is full. What could this noise be? Want to be informed before I take it to the trans shop. Thanks for all answers.

sounds like the rear diff or driveshaft. if it comes and goes with throttle position then yes its going to be the rear diff. just because it didnt do it in the air doesnt mean anything because there is no load on the gears. also you didnt mention if it was stock height.
