Tell them so they can get you some help!

It may be a good think that they find out. This is something best out in the open. I know it must feel like it is the only thing keeping you alive, but there are other options, other things that can help you to cope. Have you tried keeping an elastic band on your wrist and snapping it when you get the urge to cut? You are not alone, lots of people have this problem, but there are lots of people who have survived it. I've been cut free for over 6 years.
If you want any help, email me :)

Talk to your parents, sweetheart. They need to know so that they can get you the help you so desperately need. You can't deal with this on your own. And ending your life is not the answer. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. I know. My brother committed suicide. Even though it happened almost 30 years ago I still agonize over his death and wonder if there was anything I could have done to stop him. Please don't put your parents and other loved ones through that pain. It's a pain that never goes away. If you can't talk to your parents talk to someone else, the parents of a friend, a teacher, school nurse or counselor, pastor; but talk to someone. I pray you will get the help you need. It may sound corny, but life does get better! God bless you, dear one!

Okay, first of all I don't think you should cut. I know this sounds cliche, but it's true. It doesn't help solve your problems in any way, are you going to cut everytime something bad happens? No, because pretty soon there will be nowhere else to cut. Try solving the problems maturely instead of hurting yourself. It also hurts your parents to see you hurt. There are always an answer to any problems if you try. Good luck!

Honey, you have got to let someone know. There are reasons why you cut and if you don't figure out what they are and other ways to deal with it, then things will get worse. I have had students that cut, some say it is so they can feel something. I have also been told that it is to see who cares enough to reach out and help them. Tell a teacher, tell a friend, tell a couselor, but tell someone! If you go to a counselor or teacher, they will have had experience telling parents and will be able to support you. Please tell. I wish you were my student. I would do anythning within my power to help you and I am sure you have teachers that will too. Please tell.

Everyone's almost right.

Parents finding out - not the problem.
Cutting yourself - not the problem.
Feeling bad about yourself - The Problem.

1. Spend more time with people who compliment you.
Find them where you can...everywhere. I'm not talking about attractive guys trying to get in your pants. I'm talking about genuine compliments.

2.Spend more time doing something that makes you happy(not satisfied which is what you might feel when you cut)

3.Spend more time in the sun.

4.Start a notebook with this title:
Things About Me that Rock........add to it everyday.

Hope it helps.

P.S Everyone telling you what HUGE problems you have....getting down on you....take them less seriously. The only thing that matters is feeling good. Bubbly good. Just get there at all costs.

If you have a good relationship with your parents, sit down and talk to them. They love you and Im sure they would want to help you. If you do not have a good relationship, talk to your counsellor or a family friend. There is a reason you are doing this to yourself and it needs to be addressed. Please get help somewhere. Ill be thinking of you Good luck

you have a serious disorder and you really need a lot of help. People have DIED due to their cutting, get over your fears, and talk to your parents, tell them you know you have a problem, and you don't know how to stop.
