yes.
needs to be pasteurized
Don't confuse cottage cheese with "soft cheeses". That's what you should stay away from (like blue cheese).

As an RN and a mom of 5, obviously you can eat cottage cheese but you need to watch alot of cheese intake because it can trigger yeast infections. Also watch with organic foods and non-pasteurized some have been linked with e-coli and other bacteria that can harm you and the baby. Any other questions feel free to IM me. Good Luck and Congrats!

Yes...but be careful! Cottage cheese, even the lowfat kind, has an alarming amount of sodium! One serving of cottage cheese has almost half of the daily recommended intake of sodium.. I would NOT recommend that if you are having any issues in the pregnancy such as hypertension (high blood pressure). If there are no issues, just practice the golden pregnancy rule--moderation!
Also, avoid all soft cheeses like brie and queso fresco, etc. They can contain unhealthy bacteria that can cause pre-term labor.
Good luck!

Yes, as long as it is pasteurized. But you should avoid feta cheese and some of the other soft cheeses that they do not pasteurize. And make sure any apple juice you drink is pasteurized, some of the stuff you can buy at road-side stands isn't and people have gotten e-coli from it.

Cottage cheese is fine, unless you are lactose intolerant. Then it might give you gas.
