I heard that when a plastic bottle such as Poland spring 16.9oz is frozen, then thawed, something happens to the plastic and you end up drinking it?

Nothing happens. That's a stupid urban MYTH.

Another Urban myth. Freezing doesn't change the chemistry of plastic. Heating in a microwave can and does, so I don't recommend using plastic to cook anything in a microwave, but freezing? nah. In fact drinking very cold (icy) water is good, it helps your body burn more calories.

I've never heard it, but I'm sure the effects are negligible. Plastic is an inert, non-toxic substance and whatever from it you may ingest will likely just go through your system.
